Write For The Manchester United Offside!
By: Taylor Rockwell | November 4th, 2009As I mentioned on Monday, The Manchester United page is looking for bloggers to cover the biggest club on the planet. I am planning on staying on and posting 1-2 times a week, but we were looking for someone to cover the day to day news stories. If you’re interested in the position, you can email me at manu@theoffside.com with the pertinent information (name, writing experience, and a writing sample) and then I’ll pass the info on to Daryl. We get a good amount of readers on this page, and the lack of frequent posting isn’t doing you patrons justice. So email me and we’ll go from there.

arguably one of the biggest games we’ve played so far this season. Hopefully we’ll get an attacking lineup out of Fergie since he told the press he wants a “very positive result”

Even though Utd lost, i think this performance was really good.. they did not let Chelsea take control of the midfield as many expected.. and i think the major thing lacking was enough support for Rooney to actually be able to do something with the possession he had upfront.. now whether they could have been better upfront without yielding the midfield is open to debate.. but I think Anderson should have gone forward more than he did overall..

I thought Fergie got his tactics right and thought the 4-5-1 formation actually worked. Although, maybe play Rooney down the left (he always drifts there and then cuts in) and have Berba as the point man?
Either way, officiating was awful, both ways. Evans should have been booked for his Cantona kick and the entire free kick to goal situation was poorly called.

For me, man of the match was eaisly Wes Brown. Given how poor our defense has been in the past weeks, the way he absolutely shut down a freakishly in-form Drogba was huge for us.

in my opinion anderson is one of the worst players to ever pull on a man united jersey. but he did have a good game against chelsea. ill give him credit when its due. rooney was your best though. i thought it was 50-50 overall and after the goal you guys were unlucky not to score. you controlled the final 20 minutes. but ill take the 3 points of course. drogba was kept very quiet. go chels!
