Who’s Gonna Play in Goal on Saturday?

By: Nick | March 10th, 2008

Probably not John O’Shea, but unless Edwin van der Sar’s groin heals quickly, the surprising choice could be Ben Foster.

Surprising for us of course — but I’m guessing slightly more surprising for him.

I read Foster is playing for the reserves before Saturday’s match against Derby?

Either way he has been plunged in at the deep end (I know it’s only Derby). Must win game at the business end of the season. We’ll see what he’s made of.

Foster played a reserve match last week. Let’s hope he doesn’t actually need to play on Saturday — that would not be ideal. Derby County or not…

the huge problem with having a new keeper is not only their ability but the defense is unused to them and does not have the same trust level in them, the united defense which admittedly(as a chelsea fan) having probably been one the of the best defenses in the world this season will have a hard time adjusting, of course the draw is a little lucky for man u because if it happened before the away leg to chelsea or the home game to arsenal it could have proven a massive problem since man u is now only 1 point away from arsenal.

I think it a chance for Ben Foster to proved himself becos O’Shea have done that before, and if any of them can’t make it then i prefer O’Shea.I believe in my team UNITED that will we make, becos we played the best football, with Rooney,Treves and the wonder boy Ronaldo the sky will be our limit.Brovo “MAN UNITED”
