So Real Madrid’s cheeky/typical tactic of trying to unsettle a player through the media may fade for a few months (sweet mercy!) – but there’s little doubt that it might be having the desired affect. At least according to Ronny’s shady little agent.
Meanwhile, United continue to sternly dismiss all transfer speculation – but their swift offer of a brand new contract to the player clearly belies their confidence regarding his future place of trade.
This is just a small distraction we could simply do without right now – it’s not as if we don’t have some important business coming up. But Ronaldo seems to be very much his own man, and all modern players (especially the superstars) usually hold all the cards regarding their careers. Contracts are hardly worth the paper they’re written on.
A truly annoying situation for us fans. Until the Summer then…
