United Fall to Shrimpers!

Well this one didn’t go according to plan, eh Fergie? Despite picking a strong team (Kieran Richardson apart), United were humbled by Championship bottom-feeders Southend. How they failed to score is beyond me. Although as ever, the opposing keeper played the game of his life (why does that seemingly always happen?).
Though not a total disaster by any means – the result will likely put a dampener on Fergie’s twentieth anniversary celebrations…
But at least it’s one less distraction in persuit of higher honours.
