United 4 – City 3 – Match Highlights

By: Taylor Rockwell | September 21st, 2009

With the wealth of options at the disposal of both Manchester United and Manchester City, who would have that that it would end up 4-3 with five total goals coming from Michael Owen, Craig Bellamy, and Darren Fletcher? The injury time question may linger, but for me this was the real start of the season. United struggled at times certainly, but a champion finds a way to win. United did that, and I suspect will continue to do so.

United deserved it over the piece but they really need to strengthen in midfield in my opinion

On another day I would agree with the midfield concerns, but not after yesterday. Giggsy and Fletch were both superb, and Valencia was pivotal to our second-half dominance. The mistakes yesterday were from the back 5.

Taylor do you have some inside source that told you that Rio did, in fact, get abducted by pod people? And why didn’t he just take Bellamy down and take a red card?

    Gavin, Fletcherinho won it.

The midfield is slowly shifting into gear, the Ando-Fletcher combo is beginning to come good.

Now what’s this I hear of Hargo’s starting training soon? Yum, Europe.
