United 3 – Southampton 0 — Highlights

Apologies for these going up Monday morning, but I was gone all weekend and only just had time to review the weekend’s activities and decide, yet again, that the future looks increasingly bright at Manchester United. With goals from Danny Welbeck (18), Nani (22), and Darron Gibson (21), United look fully capable of remaining both a domestic and international threat for the ostensible future. Anyway, enjoy your highlights:

United 1 – Southampton 0 (20′ – Welbeck)

United 2 – Southampton 0 (48′ – Nani – penalty)

United 3 – Southampton 0 (81′ – Gibson)

Three decent goals, and an overall class performance from Untied will see them face Tottenham in the next round of the cup. Once again, we manage to draw Premier League opponents in a domestic tournament. With the match at home and Ferguson determined to make Tottenham pay for stealing 2 points earlier in the season, the fourth round matchup should be a good one indeed.
