United 2 – Elijah Wood FC 0 Highlights

By: Taylor Rockwell | October 30th, 2008

I was talking with Daryl yesterday about how I’m worried that if Berba doesn’t get his daily dose of cheeseburgers and milkshakes, he’ll go into a funk and start running even less than he already does. And then he did one of the dirtier moves I’ve seen in a while, which I can only assume was karma’s way of telling me to go f*** myself. Anyway, here are the highlights for yesterday’s victory.

United 1-0 (Slave via Nani in the 14′)

United 2-0 (Slave via Berba in the 30′)

See, like I’ve always said, Berba just needs time to adapt to the game. And anyone who’s ever criticized him publicly should probably apologize, flog themselves, and bring him an appeasement platter of 30-40 Big Macs.

hes been this good the whole time regardless of what taylor says. he’s languid sure…but he’s got enough skill and guile to make anyone look bad whether he “eats 40 big macs” or not.

matt, I agree he is a very talented player and has performed consistently for United… my criticism of him, however, has nothing to do with whether or not he scores/does dirty moves on the touchline… I have been bothered by the way he doesn’t always seem 100% motivated… he often seems content to play a ball and then watch what happens, instead of crashing towards goal and making things happen… I’m sure Fergie will break him of this tendency, but it just seems like he gets lazy for periods during the game…

That said, the past two games, he has run at 100% Not surprisingly, we’ve scored a total of six goals in those two games…
