United 1 – City 0: Match Highlights – Updated

By: Taylor Rockwell | November 30th, 2008

So, a fairly hectic match ends the way it needed to end. Cheers to Rooney for finally (FINALLY) netting his 100th goal for United. Boos to Slave for…. to be honest, I have no idea what the hell that was supposed to be. All I can figure is that he was worried about ruining his potential modeling career, so he elected to get a red card instead. Ah well… a win is a win…

First Half Highlights

Second Half Highlights

So, I solid victory on the road keeps us within a shout of the top two. Chelsea’s loss to Arsenal coupled with our game in hand makes top of the table by the beginning of the new year a realistic possibility. More highlights to come… for now, just be happy that we avenged our two losses to the Middle Eastlands last season. I expect City to seek revenge by trying to be the name “Manchester United” for 6000 billion pounds. Awesome.

So, what did you all think? Good match? Poor performances? Sad that Rooney’s 45 yard chipper didn’t hit the back of the net? Let me know.

Apologies… the vids I put up earlier were faulty, but these are decent (second half ones are a bit choppy). Anyway, enjoy…

all i can say is…yeah united deserved the win, but it wasn’t the prettiest game in the world to watch. and yeah wow, ronaldo may have outdone himself on that one.

I was at a pub in Nottingham watching the game… most of the Man U fans there agreed it was worth the second yellow. to quote one who was sitting next to me “WTF WAS THAT RONALD?” i then watched an announcer after the game try to defend him as “trying to protect his face.” fucking homer.
