Transfer Window Madness

By: Nick | January 5th, 2007

madness.jpg It’s only been open for five days (seems like five weeks) – but I’m already sick and tired of the much ballyhooed transfer window.

Let’s face it – most of the stories we’ll read over the month, will be completely and utterly false. This one seems dubious to me. While this little gem, almost made me choke on my morning caviar. At 500 a tin – that’s a damn expensive regurgitation.

Yet, there is no escape from the insanity of the “transfer rumour”. They sell papers in Britain. Or so we’re led to believe. Mind you, a friend’s uncle, is a top window cleaner in Liverpool, and word is, he was told by Steven Gerrard that his services were no longer needed – and asked if he might have any window cleaning contacts in Manchester. True story. Really.
