Aargh, had to miss this. Some very good points made though. My 2 cents:
1. Dont worry folks, other than Macheda and Wellbeck we do have good prospects like Adem Llajic, Fabio, coming up. Best of all is the fact that they are prepared for sporadic first team appearance by Ole Solskjaer, the best sub of all time. Exhibit: Kiko Macheda.
2. Was lucky enough in 2007 to catch the likes of Eckersley and Drinkwater play in Malaysia (the Champions Youth Cup); they were really good vs the likes of Juventus, Porto, Inter, Barcelona (!) and won the tournament, winning all of their games. It was attacking football at the finest, especially vs Boca Juniors. Have a look:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Champions_Youth_Cup_2007The point is, we were arguably the champions of the world in that under 19 category. Most of those players are raring to go in the EPL, just you wait.
3. On the other hand, Taylor has effectively refreshed the nightmare with our midfield situ i.e. Owen’s knee. Unless we can have the Giggsy that we saw vs Chelsea, week in and week out. *dreams*. Also, whom do we bribe for Anderson (who’s still damn young) and Rodrigo Possebon to come good?.
