The Inevitable Post-Mortem

By: Nick | November 22nd, 2006

pm2.jpgOh dear – that one didn’t exactly go according to plan, eh? So it’s the morning after the night before – and the result has well and truly sunk in now. They say time is a great healer. Well, I hope they were right. This one will sting for a bit. As Mike Skinner once put it – “It was supposed to be so eaaasy”.

I know one thing for sure right now – Glasgow probably led the World in hangovers-per-capita this morning. I also know that United need to beat Benfica in two weeks…

The game was a nightmare to watch. All that posession for naught. And you just had the feeling that Celtic would pinch one. Which they did, because that free-kick decision was iffy at best. Didn’t you just know that Saha would miss that penalty? Seems I wasn’t alone in thinking so.

So it’s time to focus on the visit of Chelsea. Can the players lift themselves after last night? While dwelling on the events in Glasgow – spare a thought for these poor fans. Personally, I’ll drown my sorrows with Turkey – and will return at the weekend…
