So it would seem that United stand in good stead to improve the bank balances of some yet to be determined football players.
It’s certainly encouraging news to the doom merchants who surfaced during the Glazer takeover – but one simply hopes it’ll be money to bolster a Premiership winning squad – rather than funds to heal the wounds of a promising campaign that went spectacularly pear shaped.
