Sir Alex Backs the Calls for Silence on February 10th
By: Nick | January 25th, 2008It’s a delicate subject that looks set to be debated until the moment it actually happens – but Sir Alex has backed the club’s plan to maintain the observation of a minute’s silence to respect the lives lost by the Munich air disaster.
He also thinks David Beckham will earn his 100th cap next month, while somewhat cryptically predicting that ageless Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs may outlast him at Old Trafford.
It seems as is Sir Alex’s opinions are becoming more and more in demand.

I agree with Fergie. The applause stuff they do these days is about honoring the life of a great, someone who has probably already had a good career.
Whereas Munich was a dark day in football with many tragic victims whose lives were cut short that needs remembering with a silence instead.
