Possible United 09/10 Away Jersey Leaked…

As I speculated here, about United’s possible new kit and sponsors, upon my internet travels I have found a leaked version of what is probably United’s new away kit for next season. Wanna see what it looks like? Wanna hear where it originates from? After the jump, bitch…

First of all, don’t start thinking it’s some crappy Photoshop job because of the quality of the photo. That’s all my PC’s fault. Go onto FSC (link at the bottom of the post) to see the pic in better resolution. Make sure to come back though…

The jersey is a remake of United’s 1909 jersey, it is to commemorate United’s first major trophy; the FA Cup win against Bristol City in 1909. It was designed by former United player Billy Meredith, who ran a sports shop while he played for United. I can’t be arsed to go into it, so read it all here. It’s pretty damn sweet I think, it’s a bit unusual but that’s what I like about it. I especially like the laces on the collar, it’s old-fashioned but pretty kick-ass. I also like the logo under Nike sign.

This leads me nicely onto my next point. In the link in the first line of this post, I talked about possibilities for United’s new sponsor, seeing as AIG are pulling out. After seeing this (allegedly) new kit, Saudi Telecom look set to be the new sponsor. If you remember, I talked about it before on the blog. Some folks didn’t like the thought of how the logo would appear on the jersey, but I think it’s turned out alright.

So, what do you think of this? If I was a betting man, which I would be if I ever had any money, I’d say that this is our new away jersey.

  Eww gross..Theres no way Im ever wearing that. I mean seriously, this is 2009 not 1909. Ive been a United fan since the day I was born and I have all the home jerseys since 94, but I cant see myself buying that even if it isnt fake. Something is telling me that its 100% FAKE.

  its aon who will sponsor in 10/11 and AIG are still here next year.

  naah,,the most possible new home jersey for manutd will be nothing like this one over here..come on guys..i mean saudi telecom wont be sponsoring man utd because the AIG contract will still runs until the end of 09/10 season…and man utd had secured a deal with a new shirt sponsor that is AON corp starting from 10/11 seson afterwards..and this jersey over here is actually a direct replica of the 1909 man utd jersey that was designed by former united player billy meredith,,there is no way Wayne rooney,nor cristiano ronaldo would wear something old school..plus.. it had laces which will affect their performance..nobody likes to be choked while running..right?
