Alexis Sanchez whom we’ve supposedly been tracking for a while now will stay at Udinese at least until the end of this season. After that, it’s fair game and while he’s supposedly best suited to play out on the ring wing, it’s safe to say that we’ve got that position covered sufficiently well between Nani and Valencia. Some say he’s a special talent that is also capable of playing out on the left or behind the front 2. If so, he could be just what we need. But as a 3rd right winger? No thanks.
David Beckham has been cleared by the Galaxy to move on loan in January. A bunch of clubs in the PL have been linked with Becks with Tottenham looking like the most suitable destination. If it does go through, I wonder if he’ll feature against us on the 16th? That’ll make for some good tv and lots of hype if nothing else.
Macheda is as good as a Sampdoria player for the next few months. Supposedly, it’s just a matter of getting through the formalities. Guess his heart has always been in Italy. Get some good experience, gametime, and a bucketload of goals. Come back in the summer and start challenging Chicharito as the first striker off the bench.
Pepe has been linked to us as well since Madrid apparently won’t budge on his wage demands. In all likelihood, they compromise and settle on a figure that they’re both happy with. Either that or he signs for City. Chances of seeing him in a United shirt-slim to none.
