If This is Really it For You – Then Thank You and Goodbye
By: Nick | March 7th, 2007
Well United fans – we most likely witnessed Henrik Larsson’s first and possibly last Champions League goal in a Red shirt. Coupled with month long injuries to Ole and Saha – tonight has opened up a very interesting question indeed.
Can United simply afford to let him board a plane back to Sweden? Or, would Larsson himself abandon teammates he surely has developed a bond with? Will Batman escape from his terrifying predicament?
This is a tough one for the club as it sounds as if the decision is done and they have to accept it. Yet if we should fall in the future (and somehow conspire to blow the Premiership) – there would be an outrage amongst the fans seldom seen in United’s long history.
There are a few more days for this to play out. All we can hope for is that the decision made is the right one.

This is an interesting situation. I feel as if HL is like the Cincinnatus of current MUFC football. Steps in for a brief, fantastic run of play, then heads back to his farm. Pretty intriguing.
