Throw in the weather, food, cultural, and his mothers expressed wishes and its not really so difficult to understand. But who knows? Maybe he really is just a prick looking for money. I guarentee you that Ronaldo didnt even really WATCH english football growing up…but he saw plenty of portuguese and spanish football…namely Real Madrid.
