Hargreaves Gets the Thumbs Up From Fletcher & Co.
By: Nick | May 22nd, 2007
Though there’s no official deal yet (though it’s likely coming soon), the impending arrival of a new midfield personality to the United side, seems to be going down quite well with the men whose places he might likely threaten.
Darren Fletcher, the player whose playing time might be affected the most, is firmly looking forward to Hargreaves‘ signing. So too is Michael Carrick, who is more likely to link up with Hargreaves in United’s midfield, than find a place on the bench to accommodate him.
Personally it’s a welcome sign of team spirit that players are prepared to sacrifice personal feelings for the good of the team. There’s little doubt that Hargreaves can only bolster United’s midfield for their Premiership defense, while at the same time doing his bit for German tourism.

How do you see them lining up next season? Something like a 4-2-3-1 makes sense. Carrick and Hargreaves holding, any of Giggs, Rooney, Ronaldo, Smith, and Scholes in front of them, and of course they would need to pick up the target man over the summer.
