Fergie Appears to be Hitting the Blotto Extra Hard
By: Taylor Rockwell | October 30th, 2008This morning, King Franco FC President Ramon Calderon mocked Fergie’s latest bit of transfer fury. The Scot alleged that Calderon’s side were never actually interested in signing Gabriel Heinze, and that they were only using the Argentinean as another ploy to lure Slave to the Madrid.
“I don’t believe they were interested in Heinze – good player though he is. The end game was to get Ronaldo,” Ferguson said in an interview with GQ Magazine. While I do love Fergie, sometimes it seems like he has the unique ability to forget certain past actions certain past actions that make his comments appear to have been coming from a nearly empty bottle of £200 red wine.
Then again, Fergie’s second comment may hit the nail square on the head. “”What made it really obscene was that Madrid, as General Franco’s club, had a history of being able to get whoever and whatever they wanted, before democracy came to Spain,” the 66-year-old said. Where was that place that all the Germans fled to after WWII? And isn’t Heinze a bit of an uncommon name for South America? So, it therefore stands that Fascist Franco FC only wanted Gabby for his history. Now I hate Michael Owen’s former club even more.

It has yet to be rescheduled, and probably won’t be before the new year. Additionally, the Wigan game in December will also have to be rescheduled due to our involvement in the FIFA Club World Cup, so that will actually give us two games in hand come January 1.
