Farewell Gabriel Heinze — We Appreciated Your Effort, Until You Tried to Stab Us in the Back

By: Nick | August 22nd, 2007

heinze.jpgThat was fast.

Twenty four hours after his attempt to piss United off and head to Liverpool was denied — Gabriel Heinze has agreed to join Real Madrid. So much for his overwhelming desire to be a Liverpool player.

This is a pretty unsavory end to a United career that had seemed very promising at first. I’m guessing their was a huge personal fall out with Sir Alex. But at least we allegedly ended up with 1.2 million more that Liverpool offered!

Let’s for a minute dream that these funds will be used on a striker before the transfer deadline, rather than to service the Glazer’s debt. Let’s at least dream.

Man, this is third United player to move to Real in 4 years. So how does this make Real a world-class team when they are targeting all the Man Utd players? Doesn’t it means United is more world-class than them?

Nevertheless, I will remember Heinze for all the good things he did rather than for trying to move to Liverpool.. or the pass to Vidic which leads to our CL exit -__-
