Even though Man Utd and Reading don’t play out their fifth round tie until Monday evening, enough of the games are sufficiently decided for the draw for the next round to take place in the honoured presence of some football people. In terms of teams still left, we can now right off Arsenal, who lost to Blackburn on Saturday. Chelsea navigated their tie, but it was only their 4TH round replay against Brentford so they still have to play Middlesbrough, before concerning themselves with the possibility of a sixth round tie. Manchester City navigated Leeds with ease, but Everton were held by a last minute goal from Oldham. With regards to Utd, they’ve had a sufficient rest since Madrid and Sir Alex has suggested changes will happen (maybe Hernandez can come back – where has he gone?) Anyway, I expect Utd to win, and should they, this sixth round draw will be of interest to them. So here’s the full draw:

Oldham/Everton v Wigan
Man City v Barnsley
Man/Reading v Middlesbrough/Chelsea
Millwall v Blackburn

Ties to be played on 9th or 10th March. So there we are. Tough draw. But ties to be played first so let’s see what happens.
