How bad was that match? Mild disappointment about the result aside — it was a shockingly awful encounter between two teams with far too much respect for each other and tactics by one manager so dull, one simply wonders why people pay the prices they do, to watch his team every week. And that manager doesn’t poses a Knighthood.
Claims of a tactical battle won by Jose are inevitably flying about, but if those tactics involve killing off the game as a spectacle, then one can only fear for the future of football. Or was it all the fault of the pitch?
