Chelsea Up Next. Sadly, Minus ‘The Special One’

By: Nick | September 21st, 2007

js.jpgIt’s going to be quite odd to host Chelsea after their surprise parting with Jose Mourinho. Like him or loathe him (I felt both at various times) — he made the Premier League a far more interesting place.

We have the same squad available as the Sporting match, one can only hope the performance is not the same. I’m getting a bit fed up watching the lousy football we’re playing right now — I can’t imagine there are too many who aren’t.

Needless to say I’m not expecting a thrilling match. Neither club is threatening the goal too much so far this season. Perhaps the loss of Drogba and Lampard will prove crucial — yet we’ve been so insipid ourselves, I have no idea what to expect.

One goal could be the difference. Though no goals is also a likely scenario. I’m not gonna hold my breath for more.
