Bale-Out; Heinze Going Nowhere; HE Remains in Germany

By: Nick | January 18th, 2007

gossip.jpg Thankfully, there’s less than two weeks left to deal with all of the idle gossip of the transfer window – when all of the greedy agents, players, managers and football writers can finally shut up. If only for a few months at least.

Whether or not the Heinze to Spurs stories are true (Martin Jol denied any interest yesterday) – the player himself has stated of no intent to leave. With his contract up in the Summer, I’m not sure this is a good thing or not.

It seems United’s interest in Gareth Bale has been rebuffed. At least until they come up with more money for a talented, but clearly very raw talent. We’ll see how that one goes.

Then there’s the latest on the transfer chase that has simply taken up far too much ink since the World Cup ended (pushing me to the brink of insanity) - that the ubiquitous Canadian born player with the intials OH, might finally, almost certainly not be coming to United. At least until next week.
