Steve, you got it all wrong, mate... yes they switch sides, but after he taps Neville on the shoulder, he lowers his hand to shake, and Neville just brushes past... as clearly indicated by 1) Schmeichel's face and 2) the announcers laughing at it...

You got the Man City thing is all wrong. Nev was standing on the wrong side of the tunnel and Peter tells him he is on the wrong side. Peter never extended his hand for Nev to shake.

But it was a mere handshake, how can that break his focus?I get yourpoint though. Never mind, we'll just agree to disagree, eh?

i was trying to say thank you earlier for putting up the tunnel clip, nostalgia rocks. How lovely if Keano were still around when Evra / Nani /Slave were getting kicked back and blue by the opposition.

He shook the Arsenal player's hands prior to the match itself when it is customary... what I thought the Schmeichel incident represented is that Neville is so focused prior to each match that to be "bothered" by an opponent (albeit, a former teammate) is unthinkable...

I think it relates to the comments about Ferguson during the recent Spurs match where he was clowning on the sidelines as United were dropping two points. Would you rather have a captain joking with an opponent prior to kickoff, or one so steadfastly determined to get the full 3 points for his club that schmoozing in the tunnel seems an absolute absurdity.

But, yeah, clearly Neville can be a prick at times...

Please explain your reasoning: so he didnt shake Peter's (a United legend) hand because he needed to concentrate on the game against City but not against Viera and Arsenal?

I absolutely adore and cannot fault Neville's loyalty and spirit, but I have to admit there are, shall we say 'unsavoury' aspects to his personality occoasionally.

Well not eveyone can be like Sir Bobby.

P.s- the tunnel incident really makes me miss other United legend. T
