Aiming to Get Our Hands on the Cup for the 12th Time
By: Nick | May 18th, 2007
So this is it. The magical FA Cup Final. The epic last game of a truly memorable season. A season that began positively and never really slowed down. One in which we wrestled the title away from Chelsea and their deep deep pockets — while playing a brand of football which was breathtakingly beautiful at times.
It’d be nice to do another double, yet it won’t be all that disappointing should we fail. Most United fans would agree that we’ve secured the trophy we really wanted. Anything else is pure gravy.
Sir Alex has a minor selection headache before the match. While he expresses fears that the dreaded penalty shoot out might rear its ugly head. I truly hope not. That would be a great shame for all involved in the occasion.
Let us simply hope that the match is played in the right spirit — free from any controversy. I won’t hold my breath however. Prediction? 2-1.
