A Tale of Two Strikers (and Two U-Turns)

By: Nick | June 13th, 2007

u-turn.gifA somewhat strange day for news amidst the usual idle transfer gossip. Once again, the fitness of Louis Saha becomes an issue, after an initial report that the oft injured (to put it mildly) forward was set to miss the first few months of the season after recent knee surgery.

Not so though apparently – after his agent quickly rebuked the notion that Saha would not be fit and ready for the Premier League opener. It’s all a little bit confusing really, and my patience has worn pretty thin on the subject of Saha’s injury curse.

Then there’s Alan Smith, who allegedly is a little concerned about his being in United’s future plans. But wait, perhaps he will remain a United player after all. Good news?

I think both players are simply living on borrowed time
