Rejoice!! Park retires from international duty

parkNo longer will we have to lose him to the Asian Cup or other international related selections. This is good news for the club since it means a more rested player while others are incurring an extra 90-180 minutes of game time and potential injuries.

Look at our existing players and how they’ve benefited from international retirement. Scholes, Giggs and Berba to name a few. Scholes and Giggs especially, have been able to prolong their careers and sustain a high level for the club because of the extra rest that is afforded them during international friendlies, month long tourneys or the corresponding qualifications every 2-4 years.

How England, Wales and Bulgaria would have loved to see those 3 continue playing for their country. Undoubtedly, South Korea will soon share that same sentiment in regards to Park.

Somewhere in Manchester, SAF has just popped open a celebratory bottle…

I think its good for a player to concentrate on only one club. Manchester United will be pleased to have there Ji Sung Park available when other players may not be available. Park is a top player with some top < a href="http://www.sportsidols.co.uk/m...">Manchester United Memorabilia> behind him.
