Feeling sorry for Fletcher…it was an amazing challenge, a completely undeserved red card.

Yeah, it was an astounding challenge. It’s moments like this that you think about the need for video technology.

Shit call on Fletcher? When did grabbing the shoulder and sweeping the legs with his trailing leg become a legal tackle in football?

He got the ball, simple as. And when you see the replay you clearly see that Fabregas dived after he saw the ball was gone from his reach.

Congrats to United for totally outclassing the Gunners.
    That was a clear P E N A L T Y!
Maybe not a red card but the defender impeded the offensive player with his right hand on his left shoulder and his right leg crossing the path, then hitting the ball, just look at the picture you’ve posted. It was a PENALTY!

Rosetti has always been pretty god awful. Thankfully, as a Juventus/Azzurri fan, we never have him reffing our games becasue he is from Turin, and likewise for the NAzionale.

“He got the ball, simple as.”

I’m afraid that this is not the only requirement for a tackle to be fair. Fletcher completely took out an opponent, ball or not it’s a foul, that denied a goal scoring opportunity.

There was contact, but there was contact after he took the ball. Football’s a contact sport, people seem to have forgot that.

It’s not basketball, for fuck’s sake!
